HUSKIES RACE TO FLEMING TITLE

The George Brown Huskies made it two tournament victories in a row, defeating hosts Fleming-Lindsay 1-0 in the final to take the Fleming Invitational on Feb 17th.  With the win, the Huskies solidified their #2 standing in the Power Ratings and look to be one of the teams to beat at the Challenge Cup in Oshawa on March 22nd and 23rd.

With the win, the Huskies move to 9-2-0-1 on the season, with their only loss being against Humber (North) at the Humber Invitational in November.

ROYALS AND HUSKIES TOP POWER RATINGS

The Redeemer Royals and George Brown Huskies sit 1-2 atop the latest OCCCR Challenge Series Top 12  released today.   Redeemer is 7-0-1-0 and is 2 for 2 in tournament championships with wins at Fanshawe and WLU Brantford.  George Brown is 6-1-0-1 with a tournament championship at Seneca and a semi-finals appearance at Humber.

ROYAL FLUSH: REDEEMER WINS SECOND CROWN

The Redeemer Royals have become the first multiple tournament winner in the 2011-12 Challenge Cup Series as they took the WLU Brantford Invitational on February 10th with a tough 1-0 win over Bishop's University (PQ) in the final.   The win opens up a second wild card spot in the Challenge Cup at Durham in March.

MAC, REDEEMER AND GEORGE BROWN VICTORIOUS IN JANUARY

January saw three Challenge Series tournaments held in Brockville, London and Toronto - each with a different winner.   Thanks to McMaster, a wild card spot has opened up for the Challenge Cup.
