Men's Challenge Series: 7 TEAMS HAVE TICKETS BOOKED TO CHALLENGE CUP

2013 has seen three teams qualify for the Challenge Cup, with at least three wild card spots up for grabs and two automatic berths remaining. 

2012 ended with Fanshawe and Sault College and SL Cornwall winning tournaments to qualify along with Durham as hosts.  2013 started off with SL Brockville Invitational in which Bishop's University from Quebec, an non-OCCCR school, defeated SL Cornwall for the title, opening one wild card spot.  Fanshawe won their second tournament of the year at the Fanshawe Invitational, defeating Redeemer in the final, opening a second wild card.   Then, they won again at the Conestoga Invitational, defeating Fleming  to open a third wild card spot.    Defending Challenge Cup champs George Brown claimed the Seneca Invitational championship by defeating SL Brockville to earn the right to defend their championship.   Trent University qualified with a hard fought shootout win over Seneca Newnham to win the U of T Scarborough tournament.  Finally,  WLU Brantford earned it's first ever Challenge Cup spot by defeating McMaster at the WLU Brantford Invitational.

Teams have two chances left  to qualify automatically, with the Fleming Invitational on Friday February 15th and the Georgian Grizzly Shootout on Thursday March 7th.
