As play begins in the Winter semester of the 2015-16 Extramural Hockey Challenge Series, two familiar teams sit atop the Men's and Women's Power Ratings.
The Humber North Hawks, the 2014 Challenge Cup champs, are atop the Men's Power Ratings by virtue of tournament wins at Sheridan's Steve Blundy Memorial Tournament and their very own Humber Invitational. Close on their heels are the St. Lawrence Cornwall Sharks, the 2011 Challenge Cup champs, winners of the George Brown Invitational and runners-up at the Blundy Memorial.
Topping the Women's Power Ratings are the U of T Scarborough Maroons. UTSC were at or near the top of the Power Ratings for most of last season enroute to an appearance as a finalist at the 2015 Challenge Cup. The Maroons have won both Women's Challenge Series event to date - the Georgian-Orillia Fall Faceoff and the Humber Invitational.
