CHALLENGE CUP TOURNAMENTS SUSPENDED FOR 2017
It appears the 2016 Challenge Cups may be the last played in Men's and Women's hockey.
This past December, a motion was put forth at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association's Athletic Director's winter meeting by the OCAA Executive Committee to suspend Challenge Cups for the 2016-17 season pending a sport review.
That motion was approved.
The decision is a surprise to many in the Ontario collegiate campus recreation community.
